"Oh no," you say,

"Not another poem about
Your miserable life?"
But it's my life and
I'm allowed to complain
About the injustices
I'm allowed to wish
I was different or
That you understood.
The things that
Grate on me
Don't even register to you.
You don't fear
The Four Letter Word
As I do
Or panic every time
You shower.
Your reflection
Doesn't mock you
The way mine does.
The world
Doesn't tease you
With what could have been.
You don't live
A lie
That everyone believe is the truth.
Walking the line
Truth and Dishonesty
Has never been easy.
But when the fib
Affects your entire
It's nigh impossible.
