Unwanted, unnecessary

Such a burden of a title to carry

Purposeless, hopeless

Never knowing true happiness

Seeing nothing in a reflection

But harsh pain and rejection

Full of perpetual self-hate

The puppeteer of life simply being fate

Life itself being one big critique

Mustering up courage just to speak

Until a glimmer of hope

Pulls away from this slope

A simple “Hi, how’s your day?”

Not much, but just enough

To push on one more day

To make the rough not so rough

Shoo the pain away

Not much, but just enough

To give me hope

To help me cope

To make me feel wanted

Not much, but just enough
