There's no feeling
Quite like hearing a
"Good day, sir!" or
"I agree with what he said."

Only rivalled by
Looking down to see
My feet, unobstructed
By a cumbersome chest.

Or hearing "my boyfriend"
And knowing it's about me.
"A boy in my class,"
- with a sharp jab in my direction.

The excitement pounding
In my chest and
The energy thrumming
Through my veins

Is the reason
Why
It's all worth it
In the long run.
