Justin Smoak, (Middle), went four for four in losing cause last night.

 

The Toronto Blue Jays didn't get the result the team wanted last night.

Toronto lost 6-4 to the Texas Rangers, giving the team their third straight loss.

The Jays went down quickly 4-0 at the top of the first inning.

Down 4-1 in the bottom of the second inning, Steve Pearce close the gap to 4-3 by driving in Russell Martin and Aledmys Diaz with a single.

Justin Smoak tied the game in the third inning when he drove in Yangervis Solarte with a RBI triple.

Ronald Guzman broke the 4-4 tie when he drove in Nomar Mazara and Joey Gallo with a single.

Mazara went three for four at the plate and collected two RBIs.

Smoak went four for four at the plate and had a RBI last night.

Both pitchers had poor performances last night.

 Texas's starter, Mike Minor, gave up nine hits, four earned runs, and struck out four batters in six innings pitched.

Jay's starter, Marcus Stroman gave up eight hits, six earned runs, and struck out four batters in 5.1 innings pitched.

Game Two is this afternoon.
