Mrs. Heckles the Broom Stick Handle

What a foolish thing
with her broom stick handle
ticking under her ceiling of my graceful floor tap danced movement
thinking she could fly away.
"Keep it down, up there."
"Keep it up, down there and I might have to get some new shoes; ones much like yours that I could never walk in, ones that make me want to run a mile away. Not in yours but in mine, and mine alone!"
What a foolish thing
with her broom stick handle
tip tap tapping away from underneath the floor I walk over, high above her head,
thinking she could sweep it all away.
"Keep it down, up there."
"Keep it up, down there and my living above you will have a new meaning; a new definition of how worlds come crashing down, like Mr. Heckles dying among friends, third episode of the second season where only Chandler feels connected."
I hung a chandelier in my new two story apartment today.
I took out the bottom floor, cleaned out the basement.
No more bats in belfry, no more cobwebs in the crawl spaces of unused nooks.
I cleaned it all out, and my house is pristine.
No more dust, no more dirt, no more disease.
Just a broken broom handled
vacuum sucking straw shaped scarecrow
dirt eater leaning broken
useless in the corner.
What a foolish thing.
I think I'll use it to clean out the toilet,
if I happen to even remember,
thats all its useful for.
Everything old,
becomes new again.
"Keep it down, up there."
"Keep it up, down there."
Everything dead becomes alive,
everything alive becomes dead.
Keep it up.

I could add several Mrs. Broomstick verses, but kids can read them--excellent, Doc!

Haha, well all things considered I have bit my "writers tongue" very much lately.

Thanks Mike. :D
