Years ago in middle school, I boarded my horse (who is no longer mine) at a barn belonging to one of my trainer's other students. I was friends with this student for some time…until in one moment
of immaturity and misunderstanding, I ruined it all.

In the darkest of despairs
Bannished from the Queen’s lair
For something I never meant to do
I’ve hurt the Queen, now it’s hurt me
With my horse at risk, along with
All I’ve ever known
I try to climb from this deep pit
But the Queen shuts the gate from above
I call out but she’s loathe to trust me,
I who led her this far
With all her troublesome minions to control
One down her back, and one above
And I drove them to defy her
My last mechanism of defense is gone
All I have left is myself.
