When I was applying to colleges toward the end of high school, it frustrated me that I wasn't sure who to even ask for the information I needed. I didn't know what to do or how to even find out. I
was lost. This poem became my frustrated musings.

I ask many questions
I receive good answers
But none of them
Fills the void
Of the great unknown.

So many steps,
So many answers,
One person cannot know them all,
But the specialists
That do exist
Are hidden behind closed doors.

I ask many questions
Of the people I trust
But the future is uncertain
If I cannot gain control of what I’m not told.

Questions of finance,
Questions of scheduling,
Questions of all the world,
But no one knows
The path I should take
But me, and I cannot know.
