Take a look in the mirror
You know you’re worse than you appear
And you were afraid before

People gave you their time before
They criticized, they judged, they bugged
They barked and they begged and they asked you to stop

But your ears were dead to the world
You didn’t see
You couldn’t see yourself in the mirror

But still they smile
Still they care
Still they greet you, “hello”

Still they respect you
Still they beam
As if you weren’t the monster next door
