If you look outside your window

on a dark and cloud free night,

You’ll see the moon in all it’s glory

shining warm and bright.

It’s beauty might distract you

but don’t you think it is sad?

If I was all alone in space

I think that I’d gone mad.

The stars all got each other

but the moon’s the only of it’s kind,

I’ve searched all of the sky

and it’s the only I could find.

And I know what it’s like

to feel lonely in a crowd,

Sometimes I think I might as well

live high above the cloud.

When everyone are burning stars

I am on my own,

Just waiting for the day

when I am no longer alone.
