Didn’t get to spend much time

Yet those few hours past midnight,

Being awake wasn’t a crime.

Under that dim tube-light

Playing connect four;

You wouldn’t let me go, until you won.

Painting sea shells, sitting on the floor

Oh! All that fun

And your adorable surprised reaction

every time I showed you the painted shell.

Chit chatting to our hearts’ satisfaction

Till we finally fell

Asleep so tired.

’Twas like a year with you at that moment

But Now ’tis just like a second that expired

Because you went and I went,

Not together but apart

Only by physical body but not by soul

Since I’ve carved you in my heart

Yes, in my sole heart that you stole.
