I went to the Doctor for a check-up

And I mentioned my ear was bothering me.

The Doctor prescribed ear-drops, three times a day.

The next morning my throat was as sore as could be!

I thought Streptococcus had come my way.

Why else would my throat be so sore?

I had no fever, or stuffed up head,

So the flu was not at this problem's core.

E-medi-care was my only option

So I hurried over there to see what cooked.

Luckily it wasn't Streptococcus

It was a cold, a bad one that had me hooked.

The E-medi-doctor said, "Stop those drops,

I'll give you Amoxicillin, a daily dose of three."

So I drank lots of liquid and took my pills

And by the next day I found I could not Pee!

The sore throat was gone, along with the drops,

But an Amoxicillin side effect had taken root

So like those drops I had to nixed those pills

Yes, I gave the Amoxicillin the boot!

Now I'm off the pills and able to Pee

And that sore throat is all but gone

But the cold I caught at the Doctor's office

Lives on and on, and on.
