Three little birds,

sitting up in a tree,

one can't chirp

one can't listen

one can't see.

The first tries to motion to the other,

"Pass me that seed."

"I can't hear"

whistles the other right back,

then shows the third,

blindly waiting and singing,

"You are being set up, even I can see

its just a trap."

Only one hears the truth but cannot repeat,

as the other never listened to it,

and the last,

never saw a thing.

Three little birdies sitting in a tree,

one says to the other,

that can barely see,

"What did he show you,

was it the seed I want?"

It shrugs its wings,

unawakened by the taunt.

"What did he say?

asks the one that cannot hear,

right into the eyes of the other

that sees no fear,

"I am without sight."

The other tries to listen

but it falls on deaf ears,

now up to the three,

trying to find a way,

to listen,

to speak,

to see.

Three little birds,

sitting up in a tree.
