Where are the things that I held dear?

There is a story in every tear.

The ones I shed relentlessly,

I cannot flee your memory.

You are what lies inside my heart,

To forget you; I did my part.

But it’s in vain as you can see,

Your memory belongs to me.

Am I there inside of you?

To forget me; what’d you do?

Share your secrets so that I may,

Forget as well at last today.

And maybe then alas! I’ll rest,

Just how I did right on your chest.

I felt your warmth; I felt your beat,

With all these thoughts I can’t compete.
