Bitter biting stinging stories,

Drowning in their lies.

Stirring fiction into twisted truths,

Deceit wears its disguise.

Somehow convincing, somehow correct,

Well, the others seem to agree.

But the thoughts that dress in layers of black

Are not so easy to see.

Cursed is the sickness that sneaks,

Unseen, its victims are unable to breathe.

Choking, gasping, begging for life,

While it slithers and cackles and sinks in its teeth.

While the darkness rains, although it feels blind,

The appearance can be seen of just one tiny light.

A palm or a drum or a heart or a care

Can make every difference, and each difference right.
