Astrology is a strange science. The scientist just can't understand how it works so they put it down as being rubbish. That would mean that I have spent the last 40 odd years studying something that is rubbish. Then I have lost a few screws. No. let's be real. Let's talk some sense.
It is this same astrology that has something to do with the way that we on earth function. I am not going to say that it is totally responsible for all that we do. That would be wrong. But I do believe that there's some sort of ray or wave that comes to our brains and dig into the neurons. There are about 86 billion neurons in the brain. We are not going into that.
Electromagnetic waves, or rays, coming from the sun and planets must definitely have something to do with things upon the earth.
I'm not good with maths, so I skipped over quite a lot of that, and took to amateur research. I read up a lot on what the astrologers wrote, and I could have been in the crazy house, if I had followed everything they wrote. Credit goes to the ancient astrologers for it is they who got us on this astrological road.
An individual with common sense can put astrology to the test simply by knowing their birth time, and the place of birth.
To get deep into the workings of astrology, you need to know about astronomy. In the beginning, these two were together, but parted along the way. One would need to know about the Celestial Sphere, the First Point of Aries, the Soltices, Equinoxes, the Equator, Ecliptic, Horizon, North and South Poles, Nothern Hemisphere, Southern Hemisphere, Prime Meridian, Meridians of longitude, the Ecliptic System, Obliquity of the Ecliptic, Equatorial System, RA= Right Ascension--measurement along the Ecliptic, Longitude and Latitude, and the Zodiac.
It is not an easy task to understand all that. Of course, I know how it all works, but I didn't go too deep. We know that everything is made up of matter and energy, then we have space and time. Every human being is born different from the other. Even twins can be different, so don't let that put you off by asking foolish questions. Time has baffled us all. We do not know how it works, and it definitely has something to do with astrology.
Real astrology will never be accepted by human beings, the mere fact that it tells the truth, and is not one-sided.

I agree, it isn't rubbish, astrology can be a starting place of contemplation which may lead to faith. I'm certain that the first conscious awareness of the early people upon earth, those of thousands of years ago, pondered existence through the stars. The bright light of them within the darkness, creating wonder and a true space of faith.

That's correct what you saaid. The ancient peoples were always looking at the moon, and it is from this that they started to understand about times of planting. But it is the Greeks who really dug into the workings of the cosmos and gave us the horoscope. The Babylonians are the ones who started it off.
