I see so many arguments untethered from reality,

a space walk, unconnected to reason, floating free.

How do you argue with people like that,

when we can't even agree that a fact's a fact?

I'm well aware that 'that' and 'fact don't rhyme,

but please, don't give me a hard time.

Said this before, but they're even more hardcore today,

their clinging to unreason ain't ever going away.

And now I think I'm coming untethered too,

what with the change to what constitutes truth.

Once again, 'too' and 'truth' don't rhyme, really, but

just so upset our President's clearly off his nut,

and his sickness is spreading to the rank and file,

so many out there are in a state of denial.

And I hear, "he doesn't want to be a dictator!"

And we Nero's will fiddle, until it's too late, and the door

will be slammed in our faces, with 'no admittance!'

and America The Beautiful will become past-tense.
