As "Bucocko!" Turns 4 Today

Winterset off-centered bewilderment

Fallowed by a pattern of goin' over thee edge

Water falling from the sky

Is thee only thing that gets me high

You couldn't tell me that "there ain't another reason

Why a chicken couldn't live outside the freezer"

Because "a chicken bein' born

4 years ago today"

Is the reason why I got chicken on my brain

I could scramble around

All my thoughts, and leave town

But then I wouldn't be around to see the rain

As my lingering thoughts

Sprinkle from the clouds that hover up above

I know nothing will change my day-to-day routine

Of layin' an egg and clucking

The mighty sounds of an undeniable God

In which we trust

Is what we must draw near to

To avoid the doom

That waits for us to lose faith

So it could ruin every day

My upheld anxiety

Belts me dramatic'ly

Just to slam me in my most avoided realities

When the bus to freedom

Comes to pick me up

I'll be lingering on whatever love there is

Just tryin' to maneuver around the complexities

That drag me down without a meaning
