500 Days--'At What Cost?'

Verse:

Unemployment rate is falling,

your conscience is calling.

If money's everything that you call success,

then he's your magic man, I guess.

Pre-Chorus:

Never mind the hate, and environment,

never mind healthcare, or the morals that went.

Verse:

Selfish greed, 'I' not 'we' rule these desperate days,

Rich doesn't make you a decent person, the selfish ways

he's screaming are breaking the country down,

and soon they'll be nothing left, America won't be found.

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Chorus:

At what cost comes his idea of winning?

Empty heart, empty head, and he sits there grinning.

Some sold their souls for a few dollars more,

at the expense of the downtrodden and the poor.

Verse:

The erosion of the echoes of who we used to be

has begun under this false profit, now we'll see

just how much greed we'll stand for and will take.

Are you willing to look away, based on what you make?

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Repeat Chorus:

END
