As she was lying in her bed she remembered the color red. It came up in her mind like a dream, but she knew she was awake. Red spread across her thoughts and she remembered running, running fast and flashes of red.
She felt sweat running down her bag as she sat up in her bed. Where did this >>memory come from?<< She let her fingers glide through her hair. She threw the blanket to the side and got out of bed, she walked over to the door and turned the doorknob slowly. It was quiet and dark in the hallway, and she creeped over the floor and walked down the squeaky stairs. Outside the night was dark and windy and she pulled on a jacket and put on her shoes. She felt the familiar feeling of being watched, she started running, faster and faster, feeling the sweat drip down from her face. There it was again, the flash of red between the bushes. Her feet stumping against the hard ground, she looked back over her shoulder and didn’t notice the red car coming around the corner.
