"A wonderful Wonderland chapter! You do a great job of stirring the chaos when it needs stirring and calming things a bit to give us a break. It creates an impassioned whirlwind that sows the story together well - leap-frogging between tones, but always keeping the Wonderland mood. Excellent!
I do enjoy the king's time in this story too. It's one thing adaptations never do is provide proper stage time for certain characters - the Gryphon and Mock Turtle, as well as the King of Hearts and the Knave are always overlooked. And the king has a sizeable role in all of this. I love that you've paid true respect to the original story, and for those of us who haven't read the story (or all of it), you capture the essence of each character.
Though this poetic compilation essentially summarizes the story, as poetry is not intended to do what tales do, you give enough detail, dialogue and character depth, while also paying tribute to each scene to make this feel like a true alternate version of the story as purposed by Carroll himself. This honestly, in my opinion, would make a great adaptation for mass production by Wonderland's copyright holders. Whether you seek them out or not, just know that your tribute to Lewis Carroll's work is stellar! It belongs on shelves alongside his!
I can't wait for Through the Looking Glass! I've never read the story and only know of pieces of it, so that'll be a fresh adventure."

I'm loving it already! I'm sad that Nursery Crimes is coming to an end, but I cannot wait to experience this adventure! :D
A wonderful start to a Wonderland adventure!
I will be reading this !
I haven't logged in at Booksie for a while due to so much schoolwork. I've been so stressed for the past months but I put on my socks, made hot cocoa, and checked out what I missed. I'm so glad this is the first one I read. I can't wait to read the rest of this book, Hulla! I'm happy now. :D
Excellent beginning, Hull!
have fun on your adventure
A great start to the world of fairy-tales, Hully. I loved this and it promises so much more!
This has me excited to read more. I'm such the sucker for Alice-esque material!
A very creative poem!
Ah! I see what you are doing. Very clever. I'm going to like these bite size trips to Wonderland
I love your choice of words to follow, i feel i must
I'm a huge fan of Alice in wonderland. I liked how innocent the poem turned into, like a typical walk for her, then a spark of excitement, something intrigues her to follow something fascinating. I'm curious of what leads her to a not so ordinary day.
