A threat marches forth, their colours wave through the air.

Unto the citadel I ride

Beating my horse

Flagging passersby

Making haste,

My banner in the air

I cry to them,

“Make way!”

A mighty voice

A weary bod

Alerting my liege to the danger apparent

A threat marches forth

Its drums beat loud

Their warriors call proud

Their colours wave through the air

We cannot see them

There’s much ground to cover first

The quake of their march heralds

A battle draws near

Upon the throne

It is discovered

That a traitor looms infinitely nearer

Now in chains

My cries in vain

A kingdom changes hands and I am to forbear
