Don’t you miss it?

Cuz I might it

Day after day

Tragedy after tragedy

I miss the past

Don’t get me wrong

I’m ready for what the future entails

But I can’t help but look back

Back at my innocence

Back at my childhood

Back where it all started

Where I started

I remember the good life

Waking up on a Saturday morning

Not nursing a hangover

But eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch

Watching Dragon Tales on PBS Kids

I miss exploring the world

Seeing something as simple as a puddle

Yet imagining it as an ocean of unknown

I miss living like I did

I miss living like a kid

Without a care in the world

With only love and happiness in my heart

But like thieves in the night, they stole my sunlight

Not knowing that I’ve already learned  to glow in the dark

So please take this as an oriflamme

Stay in eudaimonia

Be a nefelibata

There are way to many unknowns in this world

For us not to explore it

It’s in our nature

It’s time to start opening up our minds

And start being

Be soigne

Be elysian

Be aesthete

Be ludic

Be vivacious

Be ineffable

It’s time to have un raison d’etre

What you promised your young self you’d be

Not to be druxy

But to be autotelic
