"I do enjoy the occasional cigar, every now and again," spoke Wirm. "I have most recently learned the pleasures for a good game of pool, as well. 8 Ball. 9 ball, stripes and solids. I can break the rack, open up the table with the best of them, of course they say I have an upper hand, ahem, under-winged advantage but, we all do the best with we're given, so I feel not one bit sorry for their asses."

"I, Wirm, having been born and left abandoned beneath this castle, grew up in a strange world. I have friends that some of my own brethren would not have even ventured forth in polite acquaintance with, to fortify lasting friendships.

"Take, for example, Glum, a very short and stout fellow, of the Ogretudous sort. This kind friend of mine has gone out of his way to bring me such delicious treats and, watching me grow beneath this moated, outer-fortified walled up Castle, has seen me become trapped. I have no exit, thanks to all that he has delivered to me, as I have become, quite the size of the Castle itself, trapped beneath.

"And then, their is Glim, the little sharp tongued son of Goblin whom has trained me in the way of my own heritage, reminding me of my catacombed pent up powers.

"Ah, that Glim, I owe this next part of the story to him. And, to Glum of course, as for my size.

"We had, the three of us, spent ageless years, eating, laughing, puffing away on hand rolled Green Sea stogies, playing pool, plot-gaming our future, all by pool cue and war-game table called shots.

"When, finally, I felt the need to fly."

The Castle shook, mortar cracked, walls crumbled and minarets fell.

Out from the depths of crumbling dust, a dragon flew out, away from its implosive plume, spiraling into the Heavens, stamping back down.

His name was Wirm. He had so many stories to tell. He had so many stories to write.

As Dragons so often do.

With a Goblin and Ogre, by his side.
