I slithered from the tears of your very first mistake,
I cackled through the cracks as your mind began to break.
You'll never meet a friend weaving such a lonely end
'Til you meet me.

I analyze the people whom you have kept so close,
I pick apart the actions you would take to heart the most.
You'll never trust a soul and assume without control
'Til you trust me.

I twitch beneath your eye when you try to fake a grin,
I panic you to tears as the walls are closing in.
You'll never want a heart while you suffer in the dark
'Til you want me.

I scratch away your brain 'til there's nothing left to think,
I echo back the pouring of your blood into the sink.
You'll never love reprieve and, maddened, you will grieve
'Til you love me.
