mindless thinking

My craziness isn’t your compliment.

I hate that word, really.

A polite smile radiating fresh teeth

(at the request of the patriarchy)

grasps my fat thighs.

There is no other choice for me.

I slumber in anxiety for the ridicule

and the overthought of every action;

preparing for every possibility

of death and tomorrow.

Pride yourself in my illness

and defend against my backlash.
