After their mother, the Queen of Syatha dies during childbirth; Isa takes on her new responsibly as Queen of one of the most powerful kingdoms and mother-figure of her three younger siblings.
However, she discovers she has a rare power—a prophetic calling, which warns her of a future ravaged by a mythical beast, unleashed by an unknown figure. Determined to protect the peace and her
younger siblings, Isa takes the future into her own hands. [Author Note: This is an old story of mine that I found in my writing folder. It hasn’t been thoroughly edited yet (it’s only been read by
me) but I thought it would be interesting to show how I edit and what my writing looks like before and after. The story itself is five chapters in and I guess still in progress (if I remember how
the story’s supposed to go since it’s been years since I’ve written this lol). This story is currently on my backburner unless I get people who would like me to finish it.] [What to expect in
Version 1.0: I usually have LOTS of telling in the first draft because I’m quickly trying to convey what’s in my mind first before I go back and add the details of showing more. For the second
read-through I’ll usually comment on my work, noting the areas that I could ‘tell’ and areas that just don’t sound good.]
