Alone in this world,
Only one of my kind.
Accepting of everyone,
Yet accepted by none.
Understands all of life,
But always feeling lost.
Forsaken by this world,
Because of the way I've been.
I love myself for who I am,
Yet mostly I'd rather be dead.
Lost and alone being myself,
Until breath ceases to fill my lungs.
I take nothing for granted,
This bleak life held close,
Even with the knife at my wrist
I can't help to want to die,
Because I see life so clear.
My greed keeps me breathing,
Always gaining new passions.
So confused about the point,
There's no good reason in sight.
I press on to each new dawn,
Even if I want it to end at each dusk.
