Darkly, stormed the Night.

Brightly, lit the Day.

Sneaking up like a stalking lover, the Night came true; unbelieved by the vanishing of Day.

She was, and will be once again; Her name Day.

Once, he falls, his name Night, dawning her purpose back into life.

Once she sets, he compliments the balance of her dusky disappearance, knowing she will return.

Night, dark and never without the ability to cause peaceful moments of rainstormy overcast blanketed comfort, cries down the comfort of his love, only for a cycle in time, in the beginning,  in the ending, of his purpose, each chance kissing her Hello, kissing her, Good-bye. He goes away. He comes back.

Day, bright and surviving with the fight of her promise for tomorrow, dries away Nights tears, keeping everything clean and calm, even for only a brief moment, from the start of herself, to the end of herself, knowing of his return; and, how she would kiss or be kissed, awake, give or take, the only chance for their softly fading, brightly lit, connection. She goes away, she comes back.

The two, chasing one another about, time and time again.

It was a bright and sunny Day.

It was a dark and stormy Night.
