bucket list

What are you afraid of leaving?

My family is the current beat

to the rhythm of my existence,

but sometimes I fear dying before an album.

Young and afraid

of what comes tomorrow and after,

I want to live to see happiness.

And I only think of mortality

when I need to sleep.

I admire those living in faith,

for they can choose to believe

in their worth and their life in another day.

And I curse myself to another anxious night.
