What is this downheartedness and melancholy?

This hopelessness and the misery-

Inside is screaming and yelling with all its powers

The outside seems to pay no heed to the hardest hours!

What is this silence? I don’t understand

The ears to those I’m whispering are banal and bland

The whole world seems to me, deaf and dumb

For whom, my calls are the noises destined to succumb!

Never give up, never give in; I had always taught my heart

And now I admit the defeat by wordlessly divvying apart-

All the colors and sweetness have washed-out

From the spring-kissed cheeks and even the honeyed mouths!

What is this clamor and clatter, like a vixen screaming in my head

Don’t do this, don’t do that, my ears have sorely bled-

I am unable to combat, I’m powerless to argue

Against this squawking, and tearing hullabaloo!

Love- the emotion, is forgotten- as if over and done

Abhorrence and selfishness have perfectly summoned!

How could hope and affection rejuvenate in this merciless dusk?

Could there again be a dawn where Jasmine’s full of musk?
