There is a banana on my coffee table.

It won't stop ringing.

I should really pick it up and answer it, but its a fuckin' banana, so screw this yellow noise.

I don't even remember buying bananas, and I can't for the life of me, think of anyone that might have been here, leaving behind some random banana, in plain sight.

Who the hell forgets a banana?

But, here it is. Ringing away.

Who could be calling me at this hour?

And, what are they calling from, another banana?

I clench my fist, and hammer down.

Banana guts break through the skin of its rubbery coccoon, squishing the paste of its once shapely form all over the place.

The ringing doesn't stop.

The smell of banana won't go away.

My nose hears the phone call.

My eyes taste the pasty pulp.

My ears become blindly annoyed.

Bananas.

Good for my blood pressure?

Yet to be determined.
