“THAT WOMAN”

They talked a lot of how you should act

Careless young woman, whose manners lacked.

Should have do this, have done that and more lot.

Without asking, should obey what they want

For they set what they think’s right for this land

And everyone will follow what they command.

That young reckless woman who could not take

Of what they said they’re doing for her sake.

The need on finding freedom on her own

And do the things she fancies for too long

Had now passed by this young woman’s keen mind

Thus, with firm resolve leaves everything behind

‘Foolish!’ They say, going against life’s current

A tragic fate for her is what awaits.

‘Return, before everything is too late

And will leave you in sorrowful regret.’

Yet, it’s a decision she’ll never undone

She’ll stand as an example for anyone

That being on her own and standing alone

Moving wherever the wind had blown,

Afraid not, of what others might say

As long as she’s living her life her way

And all their opinions would matter not

She’s the master of her life, she’ll never forget.
