How do people who begin riots/revolutions think?

Chaos

I will rise.
I will rise above the shouting, the glass shattering, and the fires. I will rise above the riots around me.
I started them after all.

It's a wonder what mere words can do.
"He lied" was all it took.
A man, so trusted, so admired, is now thought to be a despicable liar.
And I, the one who shed light upon the darkness behind his mask, am now thought to be a messenger of truth.

It doesn't matter what the lie was. Most people didn't even know to begin with. All that matters is the chaos a few people caused afterwards.
A few influential people were shocked and appalled. A few influential people smeared one man's name.
A few influential people now had an army.
The masses rally for unknown reasons against a man they once loved.

Who will they all turn to in the end?
They will turn to the one standing above them, the one who first saw the truth and exposed it with no fears of repercussions, the one who rose above and can now see clearly. The martyr. The hero.
They will turn to me.

I don't see this mess I made as a "pack of angry wolves" or "a pit of vipers" as the newscasters do.
No, to me, this chaos is beautiful.
And I will rise.
