It was a Friday night, I was almost finished with my shift at the driving range. a few miles from my house. It was around 8:00 pm. I had about another half hour on the clock. I
did not feel like spending it cleaning like I usually did.
My boss had clocked out a few hours earlier he had a family party he needed to go to. He told me to lock up tonight. I was out in the field collecting any golf balls I could find to return to the
range. About half way through the field to the left was a shack in the woods where we stored some golf clubs and other stuff for the winter it was near the woods. Usually I don't have any strange
feelings towards it but tonight I did. I'm not sure why maybe being alone at night? I did not want to turn my back to the shed.
So I sort of moonwalked down the path so I could keep an eye on the shack. It was a good thing too. I saw to my left three golf balls I had to pick up witch would be out of view of the shack where
they were placed on the ground. I quickly grabbed them and put them into a plastic bag I was carrying when I heard the sound of a door open.
I peaked my head around the corner and saw the shed door was open. I froze for a couple seconds and took a deep breath and started to walk over to the shed to close the door. And about a few
feet away from the door is when I really froze I could see a man in the back of the shed, the way his body was facing he was staring right at me.
I froze a part of me wanted to take off running I have no idea why I didn't. I slowly walked up to the shed and called to the man I said "Hey your not allowed to be in there." I was answered with
the most horrifying scream I have ever heard. The man burst through the shed door swinging a driver club at my head. I ducked and I took off running as fast as I could too the drivin
range.
I locked the door leaving the lights on I did not care as I wanted out of that place so fast. I looked outside towards the shack the man was just watching me. I ran to my car turned it on and drove
out as fast as I could. That night I got home called the police to report the man. I was told an officer would be at the golf course shortly to do an investigation on the matter. I called my boss
and told him what happened.
He sounded very concerned and I told him the police were on the way to check it out. Even though my boss was cool with me I never wanted to step foot back in that driving range again. But I had to
open the very next morning. The next morning came and a police officer visited me telling me that he found nothing. I thanked him and after he left I stepped outside to water the plants I turned
around facing the shed.
I was afraid the person would come back. I turned around slowly to walk back to the driving range and that's when I saw the man again this time he was inside the building staring at me from the
front door. This was all it took I ran to my car and drove home needless to say I quit, and I never stepped foot in that golf course again. I have a new job at a local movie theater I have
been there for a few months now and I have never had any expirences like that here.
