I close my eyes and I see it... I see cool steel pressed against soft fragile skin ... I see a girl with a blank expression on her face as her mind runs so fast and in so many directions to the point of it seeming blank.... I see her gazing at the piece of metal pressed against the skin pondering rather or not she should press just a little bit harder...I see the hand around the blade grow tighter and tighter as it turns the blade to an angle and presses slowly into the skin until soothing red appears and the hand slides it ever so gently to the other side of the wrist ... I see beautiful brown eyes turn glassy as they fill with tears...don’t be mistaken...these aren’t tears of physical pain but instead tears of regret and grievance ... tears of not being able to feel the pain that had just occurred...tears of knowledge that a promise has been broken...tears of fear of the craving to do more will continue to stir....tears of sorrow numbed out into oblivion ... I see it ... I see the unsatisfactory outcome of the blade and youthful skin and yet I still want it....I crave it
