First poem I’m posting on Booksie, written a couple of years ago. An unrequited love, the blinding type.

I hope one day you'd feel the way I feel: the butterflies that come and choose to stay, I’d give a lifetime for your wounds to heal; and make all of your darkness fade away.
One day, your heart no longer will feel blue, pretending it has turned into a stone;
But darling, it ain't me; it's all for you - so you won't have to walk this road alone.
I'll paint your castle with a shade of rose, and kiss away the raindrops from your face;
We're children of a planet no one knows, we're born among the stars, we'll die in space.
I hope one day you'd feel two worlds collide, a soul connection that you won't deny...

Just hope you're needed on the other side - even if it ain't me you'll kiss goodnight...
