Shall I compare you to all the vast sea?

You are more mysterious and more deep

Waves crash like falling boulders down mountains

Spraying the sky with mist from great fountains

But the sea grows cold and filled with garbage

Tides recede and beaches increase as sun moves from east

Seaweed gathers to brush your feet

Oil spills pollute, fish die and rot afloat

But you aren’t these things that come from my throat

A voice of distant waves crashing with ease

A soul with more life than the billions in the sea

Eyes more green than all the oceans seaweed

Your beauty can never grow cold nor recede

You are everything I wish was in me
