August 25th, 2004

We said our final goodbyes to Jim and we grabbed the remaining food and we escaped the bunker to the car out front...it had gas.

It was close to 10 at night we have been on the road for about three hours. Anywhere was safer than where we were. Rodger is scared he's been repeating "what about dad? We can't leave him" I told him daddy will be alright.

August 26th, 2004.

Midnight came and we stopped at a deserted house. I told Steve and Rodger to stay in the car until I made sure the place was safe. I got out of the car and quietly made my way to the house. The front door was open and I walked in. After several minutes I came back and told the boys the house was safe.

We entered the house and I locked the front door. And made sure the back door was locked as well as all of the windows. After that I made sure the boys were safe and we all fell asleep for the night and would pick up where we left off the next morning.

The next morning we left the house and drove down the road a man ran in the middle of the road at us. I slowed the car down as the man begged for a ride. I looked at Steve and Rodger and they both looked worried. I asked them if we should help? They said yes. So I opened the door and the man got in the car.

The man was very happy we stopped for him he told us if we got him to his house he would reward us with food and water so of course we agreed.

We brought the man to his house witch was a gated community. An electric dense surrounded a mansion. I unlocked the door. The man thanked us and said now you are slaves. What? I asked the man not realizing we were surrounded now by about fifty people with guns along the car. Steve looked mad. Rodger was scared I was scared as well as the men opened the doors and forced us out of the car and hit me with a rifle I fell to the ground. All I could do was watch as these men took my sons away from me and I could do nothing about it.
