His pride is earned with the slightest of ease

He commends them for everything they do

But I cannot win nor can I please

Time has past like the growing of trees

And yet I fail to do something right, for

His pride is earned with the slightest of ease

Long days spent building, like a hive of bees

All for not, gaining no thought time goes by

For I cannot win nor can I please

I try to go faster, admire my speed

Maybe I’ll win and then he will see

His pride is earned with the slightest of ease

But I will not win my legs will freeze

No matter my effort, I wont impress

For I cannot win nor can I please

And with a whimper I fall to my knees

I am defeated and broken apart

His pride is earned with the slightest of ease

But I cannot win nor can I please
