Silenced Was Silenced

She came and she left out of the blue
Where'd you go ?
I might have done something crude
She said, "No"
But I heard, "Yes "

Pressed against the trembling bed
And under the crying sheets
Her pleads buried
Into  two dark pits

In the dark space nothing was to be heard
Silence was silenced
In her frightful, inert stare
The light of innocence hushed
The minute-hand came alive
But the moving satin-hill did not
Slow, peaceful thumps interrupted the night
And with tranquility the door was shut
