Farewell to knowing who you really are,

Behind blue eyes.

You’ve rolled your dices and you’ve played your part,

With sweet disguise.

Discovered how to play my favorite hearts -

Your angel face,

Yet up your sleeve, you kept a different card -

An ace of spades.

Farewell to knowing who I really am,

After you left;

Fell for the masquerade, so I can’t blame

You for your craft.

You set the tone, and to match your design,

I changed my ways;

And had to hide my truths between the lines,

In all your plays.

Farewell to eyelashes covered in mist -

No longer weak;

Forgiving all, after I felt your kiss

Melt on my cheek.

I fought for love undone and yet I fell -

Still ache the stains;

And though my power’s gone, I wish you well -

With what remains.
