Dissipation

Tiny fragments flitter,

flutter,

disappear like

melted butter.

Floating off

in to the breeze,

pieces of me --

please don’t sneeze.

No grabbing hold

with finger-tips,

these particles

just through them slip.

A gentle breeze,

I’ll still remain

but won’t survive

a hurricane

of tumultuous thoughts,

malignant rage.

I’ll scatter right

from off the page.

Flitters leaking

constantly.

Wonder how much

is left of me.

Impossible not

to dissipate

when enclosed with

so much hate.
