We must have done today,

A great many time.

Eras at least, I dare say.

Scour this land, place a bet.

An oil portrait, you will find.

Covered in silvery satin,

Against a tattered couch.

A Couple.

Framed. Alive. Forgotten.

In love, I dare say.

Made of century old promises.

A subtle hint at first touch, Distracting

Soft gold curls and Blue of eyes,

Familiarity smirked in the depths.

I almost missed your scent.

It could not be more fitting,

Minutes led to hours,

And stories to The signed letter,

That writhe in my core.

It knew, when we sealed it.

We knew, we’d never forget it.

But never a life we’d make,

Just moments on a timless loop.
