Factual amity

I don’t need to greet you daily to know how you are;

I don’t need to tell you that I love you for you to believe,

Because no one knows me better than you do.

Yes my friend, no one is like you.

When I am not on my best,

I know in you I can find my strength.

We might not know all about each other but

Yes my friend, I found hope and admiration.

Who are they to say we are different?

And who is the true echo of anybody anyway?

Ask scientists, the identical atoms repel each other.

Yes my friend, you are still the very best.

Who and what can I be without you in my life?

In you, I know He gave me support to pull me through,

I know I have strength and the mirror to self-reflect.

He loved me enough not to burden me with a deceiver.

Yes my friend, you are that remarkable.

The very best in life is a true friend, the one I call my best friend.
