This is a song I wrote stating that even though I felt lonely while single and had a huge desire to have a family, as a child of God, I couldn't count myself as lonely.

I won't be the lonely one
No I won't be the lonely one
I won't be the lonely one- the only One
In my heart is You
The only One
Christ God the risen Son
I praise You for all You've done
The only One in my heart

So pull me a little closer
Let me know that you're near
Hold me a little tighter
I need you here
Holy Spirit, I don't want to be alone

I was listening to a lot of 50s and 60s music while writing this and wanted an old-timey feel to the song. It was a declaration that I wasn't going to wollow in the self-pity of being a (pretty awesome) single person. I wanted Jesus to fill this void in my life. Soon after I declared that I wasn't going to dwell in the sadness, I began to date Larry. Once I gave it to God and said "Okay, I'll be happy being single because I know I have You", He promptly gave me everything I asked for in a man. It's quite the testimony, especially since Larry had been in the "band" I was in and I had introduced them to that song right after writing it. I unknowingly sang it to my man, who loves the Lord.
That's my favorite part of this whole song. Check out the link to a small clip of the audio below.
