A poem who's subject is the longing for the transformative, cleansing light of evening, a light which can wash away the more cloying and clammy light of daytime, leaving you feeling refreshed and
clean, even feeling blessed.

> A Lights Blessing.

Oh bathe me soft, sweet evening light, bathe me.

Let unrelenting, scorch of day slip to sea.

Gentlest Eve, best span of day, glow within.

Take this mournful, sickening heart, rinse and cleanse.

Gloaming sweet, and Gloaming dear, shine away.

Turn my gaze, shape a path, a righteous path, to save me.
