You cannot tailor the pre-ordained

You cannot structure the amorphous

We adapt

We survive

We begin again . . . and again . . . and again

Time is four walls and a ceiling

Though we will never see them for they are beyond our grasp

Beyond our comprehension

Amorphous

We are soup asking the chef for another bowl

The chef will answer ‘yes’

The chef will answer ‘no’

The chef always answers with scorn

Because the chef knows we are unworthy of more

But we take more anyways

One day, we will orphan the planet

We’ll take without asking and the chef will get angry

The chef’s already angry

Because we’re taking without asking

And there are consequences for what we take
