Boarding the Titanic was amazing. I felt like I was stepping into history. My 24th birthday was approaching and so Jake had boughten me, him and Patrisha tickets to board the ship. We were standing in a huge mess of people. Jake reached for my hand. I quickly pulled away not wanting to draw attention. Jake then whispered “ I love you Jack.”  “ Keep it down we're gonna get caught!” I whispered back. Jake looked annoyed. After a long while we finally boarded the ship. We headed to our rooms. We set our stuff down and settled in. Then Jake started kissing me pushing me onto the bed. Patrisha had a smile on her face and said “ Ima gonna go.” She left the room leaving us. We soon left too.  We walked into a bar. We seen Patrisha getting cat called by three guys. Jake yelled “ GET AWAY FROM MY WIFE!” I then went over and grabbed Patrisha. “ Leave my sis alone.” I quietly said not wanting to attract attention. Patrisha let out a few tears. I could tell she was scared. I took her back to our room. I tried to cheer her up. But I started to worry about Jake. I left and started looking for Jake. I went to the bar. Jake was hitting on some guy. I went over and the guy jolted. I looked confused. Jake grabbed my hand. I quickly moved it away. We started walking towards the front of the ship. There was a couple at the front. They were kissing. We looked at the couple wishing we could do that. “ Maybe tonight we could ah do that.” I said. Jake put his arm around me. “Yeah.” He said. Later that night we snuck out. We went separate ways to avoid suspicion. I arrived at the front of the ship. Jake was not there. I waited for a while. My pocket watch said it was 2 am. I sat there waiting. Then I seen a light. I jolted back to my room. Jake was not in the room. I laid on my bed waiting. The next morning I left my room. I searched the ship. It was a little early but I was too anxious to wait. Just then I seen Jake with that man linking arms. A tear went down my eye as I seen them go into a corner and kiss. I ran back to my room. I slammed the door waking Patrisha. “What’s wrong?” she said confused.  “Jake, Jake,I I I. uh I I I…” I said not knowing what to say. I felt so confused, so dead inside. I felt like there was nothing left. “ Woah its, its ok what happened?” Patrisha said trying to calm me down. “ Um well…. Jake left ...me” I said with tears running down my face. Patrisha got dressed and took me to the bar. I didn’t feel like drinking. I wanted something stronger. I drank the strongest stuff there was. Sazerac. The strongest thing on the Titanic. I would prefer a Absinthe but it was banned. I drank more and more until i was out cold. The next morning i awoke in my bed. Patrisha had set up a board game. Pirate and Traveler. It was my favorite. Me and Jake played it all the time. I started to play but it reminded me too much of Jake. I got up and left. Patrisha followed. We went to the side of the ship and talked. “I’m sorry. Your guy’s love was insufferable.”  She said. I laid my head on her shoulder. “ Yeah.” I said “ I remember meeting you. You seemed quiet. But I could see your personality shining through. You have been a great friend. I’m sorry to see you like this.” Said Patrisha. I looked up at her with my head still on her shoulder. I let out a tear and smiled. We stared out onto the sea. We continued our conversation. It was soon getting late though so we headed back to our room. I laid my face into my pillow. Patrisha came and sat at the end of my bed. “I’m sorry. Hey I got us tickets to that musical you wanted to see.” She said. I lifted up my head and said “ Thanks. That means a lot.” I then laid my head upon her lap. “ Thanks for everything.” I said. “ No problem. You mean a lot to me Jack. You are my best friend.” Said Patrisha. I looked up and smiled. She smiled back. I fell asleep in her arms. We had been asleep for a few hours before I woke up to screaming. I looked around and seen water on the floor. I tried to move upwards but Patrisha was on me. I woke her up so we could move. Patrisha got up and looked around. She started to cry “ UH UH JaCk Uh wE We. We should go NOW.” I got up and gave her a pair of my pants and a shirt so she could move faster. We opened the door. There was water all over. We started moving towards the deck. People ran by screaming. We started moving faster. Objects started flying past us. Just then a glass bottle was headed towards Patrisha. I pushed her out of the way into the frigid water. The bottle hit my back. Shards stuck into my back. I pulled a couple out and got Patrisha up. I continued forward. We soon go to a staircase. We went up it and onto the deck. People were screaming and running everywhere. Me and Patrisha went to see if there was anymore rafts. We asked a man who looked like he was a staff member. He told us the last one is boarding. We ran towards it. It was just letting go of the ship. “ You should go Jack.” Patrisha said. I looked her in the face and Said “ We are friends , friends love each other.” I pushed her off the ship onto the lifeboat. She screamed “ NOOOOO” Her eyes filled with tears. I looked down with a sad smile on my face. “NOOOO JACK…” She said landing safely in the life boat. I turned away crying. I looked to see the band playing a sad church tune. I sadly smiled at them. I walked slowly as everyone ran and screamed in caose. The ship then broke in half. I graved onto a bar. People fell around me. I seen Jake slide down beside me. I graved onto him. My hand started slipping. I decided to say my final words to Jake. “You meant a lot to me. Everything you done for me makes me so happy. I love you Jake. I’m sorry I wasn't good enough for you. I did some pretty shit things. I’m sorry.” I let out a tear as we fell. Our bodies plummeted towards the ocean. Our bodies hit the water. It hurt so bad. I feel a cold consumption go over my warm body. It was over. I embraced Jake as we fell down to the very bottom of everything. It was a few weeks later. Patrisha had made it back safely to the land. She went to see the musical The Whirl of Society. She cried through the musical, wishing I could be there with her.  That night she went to a small grave on a hill. She let out tears. She then laid two tickets on the grave. She said “ Why didn’t you let me die?”
