It doesn't happen too often, but the Toronto Blue Jays rallied back last night from a 4-1 deficit and defeated the Baltimore Orioles in the 10th inning 5-4.

The Orioles, of course, went ahead first.

At the top of the first inning, Trey Mancini scored on a sacrifice fly by Manny Machado.

In the bottom of the inning, Curtis Anderson tied the game with a solo home run.

There was no scoring until the top of the seventh inning.

The Orioles went ahead 2-1 when Austin Wynn hit a solo home run.

At the top of the eighth inning, Baltimore went ahead 4-1 with solo home runs by Danny Valencia and Mark Trumbo.

It seemed as if the Blue Jays were done.

in the bottom of the ninth inning, though, the Jays rallied back.

First, Randal Grichuk drove in Luke Maile and Aledmys Diaz with a double.

Kevin Pillar tied the game 4-4 by driving in Grichuk with a single.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, Diaz drove in Teoscar Hernandez with a single.

Grichuk went three for four at the plate and collected two RBIs.

Toronto's starting pitcher, Jaime Garcia, had a good night on the mound.  He gave up just four hits, an earned run, three walks and struck out six batters in six innings pitched.

Game Two is tonight.
