She was a slave to the chains that drug her under

Trapped in never ending cycles of attack

On edge about the next imminent crusher

Pleasing the beast so it’ll never come back

Drawn to lies about her immoral affairs

Only lies she hears... no truth to declare

Many promises broken, along with her heart

Even all the promises sealed with a ring

She was blinded from the world and torn apart

Told she couldn’t do a thing right... not one thing

In all the aggression and all of the shame

Chains continues to weigh down and give her blame

Vanquished by the loud whispers imitated

In her head they lurk whispering lies she’s told

On the verge of distress she lays defeated

Lonely and broken she wants someone to hold

Every night recalling the horrid chapter

Not one night does she get a peaceful nights sleep

Cowering to every arm raised around her

Every man and woman need to hear her weep
